Celebrate Jeff Tweedy’s birthday with some of our favorite Wilco sit-ins (videos)

Jeff Tweedy celebrates his 57th birthday today.

Tweedy is a leading figure in Americana rock music and a founding member of WilcoThe band’s influence has influenced countless other acts since its formation in 1994. Formed from the remaining members of Tweedy’s former alt-country act Uncle Tupelo After the group split, Wilco was a true musical force whose sound consistently pushed boundaries. From the alt-country sound of the group’s origins, Wilco has evolved into one of the biggest names in alternative rock, winning two Grammys.

While Tweedy’s studio work with Wilco has received critical acclaim, he and the rest of the Wilco crew are known for their stellar live performances. The group frequently tops festival bills and regularly tours across the country and internationally.
