PHOTOS! Peterson and Lewis win the 2024 Sundance Fall Golf Invite

Savanah Peterson of Sundance and Easton Lewis of Tongue River took first place last Friday at the Sundance Golf Invite at Sundance Country Club. The girls’ title was decided in a playoff, but there was a clear winner in the boys’.

Savanah Peterson and teammate Avery Marchant finished in a tie with a score of 92 after 18 holes. Peterson took the crown after a one-hole playoff. This duo helped Sundance win the team title by 46 strokes as the Bulldogs finished with a team score of 298. Ten Sleep’s Kelsie Griffin finished in third place with a score of 97. Wright’s Nyah Eisenbraun (112) and Hannah Steele (113) finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

In the boys’ competition, Lewis shot 77 over his 18 holes to win by nine strokes. Porter Watt of Sundance finished second on his home course after shooting a round of 86. Thatcher Troftgruben of Newcastle finished third with 91 strokes. Owen Watt of Sundance and Colton Gerler of Wright tied for fifth with 92 strokes. The Wright boys shot a team total of 376 to win the title by 16 strokes.
