His penchant for displaying eye-catching car decorations during the United Arab Emirates National Day celebrations has been making headlines for years. Indian expat Iqbal Abdul Hameed has done it again.
This time, the young businessman created a special design for his Rolls-Royce, dedicated to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, which attracted attention at the National Day parades organized by the major police stations in Dubai.
As an ardent fan of the Crown Prince, Iqbal chose special photos of Sheikh Hamdan from his childhood to the present day to decorate his car.

Iqbal is married to an Emirati woman and said his wife helped him select the paintings of Shaikh Hamdan.
“We have selected unforgettable images from Shaikh Hamdan’s life, especially those that showcase his spirit of adventure and love for sports,” he told Khaleej Times.
“I decided to have his photos designed in the form of UAE postage stamps for this year’s car decoration. It took a few months of preparation to complete the car with this design,” said Iqbal, who has received much praise for his car decorations over the past seven years.
While both sides of the luxury cars are this time covered with pictures of the young prince, the hood of the car features portraits of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces.
Images of the UAE flag, the Martyrs’ Day emblem and the 44th National Day Spirit of Unity emblem were also used. Iqbal, who is regularly invited to Dubai Police car parades, garnered recognition this week at the parades organised by four police stations. Photos of his car also went viral on social media.
“I am so happy and proud that the Emiratis and expatriates appreciate my efforts in this regard. This is just a small gesture on my part to show how much I love and am committed to this country that has given me everything, including my life partner,” he said.
“I have travelled to many countries in the world. But I have never seen another country that has welcomed so many nationalities and cultures with open arms as the United Arab Emirates.”
As chairman of the Alia Al Hathboor Group, Iqbal is considered a cultural ambassador among Emiratis and Indians.
The entrepreneur, who hails from Kasaragod district in the southern Indian state of Kerala, is also known for his charitable activities.
