Lipton Green Teas US Open Green Tea Grapefruit Fizz takes the top spot in terms of taste

With the US Open taking place in New York City for two weeks, tennis fans and sports lovers flock to Flushing Meadow to enjoy all the action. For those who can’t snag a courtside seat, Lipton Green Tea’s US Open Green Tea Grapefruit Fizz is a perfectly refreshing beverage to enjoy while watching every game, set and match at home.

Tennis tournaments, especially the US Open, are more than just thrilling five-set matches under floodlights. While the New York backdrop gives the event an electrifying feel, it’s the impressive passes down the line, breathtaking serves and a dash of drama that make the two-week event a coveted one.

For those familiar with the tournament, the iconic Honey Deuce is the most popular drink at the event. From the specialty glass to the tennis ball-like melon garnishes, it’s always a popular choice.

This year, Lipton Green Tea is bringing a breath of fresh air to the food and drink world with a new sparkling drink. The US Open Green Tea Grapefruit Fizz is a tangy, sparkling drink that will delight you from the first taste.

Although this cocktail takes a little time to prepare, it’s worth the effort. Sometimes a little planning makes that first sip even more satisfying.

Ingredients:

2 tea bags Lipton green tea

1 cup boiling water

½ cup sparkling water

1 grapefruit slice

2 sprigs of rosemary

1.5 ounces tequila

6 ice cubes

Proceedings:

Brew a cup of tea with 2 tea bags. Remove tea bags and let cool to room temperature.

Boil grapefruit juice with honey and 1 sprig of rosemary. Reduce until 1/3 remains. Allow to cool in the refrigerator.

Prepare your glass: Add ice, a sprig of rosemary and a slice of grapefruit.

Add half of the grapefruit syrup, the tequila and the infused tea and top up with sparkling water.

If you prefer a mocktail, you can replace the tequila with a non-alcoholic version or leave it out entirely. If you leave it out completely, you may need to change the proportions slightly to achieve a balanced taste experience.

As players battle for drop shots and hit game-winning overhead shots, you can watch the action while sipping a drink like the US Open Green Tea Grapefruit Fizz by Lipton Green Tea.
