Blake Lively has shared some rare details about her and Ryan Reynolds’ son Olin and revealed how they celebrated his first birthday.
In a recent interview, Blake said that her son’s first birthday party featured a very offensive birthday cake – and said that it might “haunt him for the rest of his life.”
The 36-year-old actress from “It Ends With Us” has been subjected to a wave of criticism in recent weeks. She was accused of having had an argument on set with her co-star Justin Baldoni (40). In addition, interviews surfaced in which she allegedly made reporters feel “uncomfortable”.
While Blake, who plays Lily Bloom in the film based on Colleen Hoover’s book of the same name, did not respond to allegations of a feud or address the hurtful content of resurfaced interviews, her co-star Brandon Sklenar, who takes on the role of Atlas Corrigan, issued a lengthy statement denouncing the “vilification” of the women involved in the making of the film.
Instead of clarifying any hostilities on set, the actress has now revealed some inside information about how she and 47-year-old Ryan celebrated their son’s first birthday in an interview promoting the film.
The couple, who married in 2012, have four children together: daughters James (9), Inez (7), Betty (4) and son Olin. Since they keep their children out of the spotlight as much as possible in order to give them as normal a life as possible, they rarely share details about their children.
After Ryan revealed the name and gender of her son during the “Deadpool & Wolverine” press tour, the former “Gossip Girl” actress seemed to want to share her very special story and talked about Olin’s birthday, which took place in February.
Speaking to BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball and Friends, Blake revealed that her son had a pretty revealing birthday cake.
“My birthday cakes always come with a sense of humor, I just made a giant pair of tits for my baby,” she laughed.
She went on to say that Olin was too young to say what kind of cake he wanted, so she decided to get creative, noting, “I think this will haunt him for the rest of his life.”
“But what do they want all of a sudden? He can’t say what he wants. So, breasts!” she joked.
Blake has previously spoken about her baking skills and at one point had her own cooking and lifestyle blog called Preserve.
Over the years, she has shared numerous pictures of cakes she has baked for her loved ones, including a watermelon, a sleeping unicorn, and other impressive creations.
Fans reacted to Blake’s confession and went to X. Many laughed at her cake choice.
Babenataliemay wrote: “lol that’s hilarious! I mean what would life be without a bit of drama right? But let’s be honest, themed cakes can be so wild sometimes.”
And jessxluuna added: “lol poor kid! But honestly these wild birthday themes are the best memories.”

Blake and Ryan’s love story began in 2010 when they were co-stars in the American superhero film Green Lantern. However, they did not start dating until 2011 as they were both in committed relationships.
In 2014, two years after becoming husband and wife, the couple experienced a monumental yearThey not only celebrated their red carpet debut at the MetGala but also announced that they are expecting their first child together.
After giving birth to James in January 2015, their three more children were born in 2016, 2019 and 2022, bringing their family to six.
Although they are known for their humor, Ryan in December 2022 won the prestigious People’s Icon Award at the People’s Choice Awards and raved about his family in his speech.
“Blake and my girls, you are literally my heart,” he said. “You are my hope, you are my happiness. I joke that my family drains me, but in reality, you give me more strength than any man could ever deserve.”
