Krista Fulbright Art Exhibition – The Sun-Gazette Newspaper

Krista Fulbright Art Exhibition – The Sun-Gazette Newspaper

The Center for Art, Culture, and History – Exeter (CACHE) is hosting a solo exhibition titled Illumination. The exhibition features watercolor and acrylic paintings by local artist Krista Fulbright. It will be on view from July 13 to October 13, 2024.

Originally from the Midwest, Krista Fulbright discovered her talent for drawing at a very young age. She took private art lessons as a teenager and studied drawing, painting and design, as well as teaching courses, throughout high school and college. She earned her master’s degree in education and taught students from kindergarten through high school from 2006 to 2020. While raising a family and teaching, she continued to pursue textile arts, ceramics, oil and watercolor painting.

She moved to California in 2020 and dedicated herself full-time to her career as a professional artist, currently focusing on watercolor painting. As a contemporary realist, Krista uses design principles to create dramatic contrasts in her still life and nature paintings that build a connection with the viewer. The vibrant quality of watercolor painting and the play of light and shadow on everyday subjects add movement to her paintings while inspiring her to create more. Drawn to the luminosity and challenge of watercolor painting, she finds it exciting to share her vision through this medium.

All artwork will be available for sale for the duration of the exhibition. The event is free and open to the public. For more information visit www.cach-exeter.org.
