The 20th season of The Block has begun at Phillip Island and you can be sure that Dan Reilly and Dani Wales will be returning each week to give their opinion.

For many years, the couple – two of the most famous faces on The Block – gave honest feedback as they walked through the rooms after the official assessment.
And this year is no different.
Join us each week as Dan and Dani take their own personal tours of the Blockheads’ rooms and give their often conflicting opinions before declaring one team the week’s “Champion” and another the “Sucker.”
Here is everything they said about the teams’ rooms on The Block 2024:
Week 2: Guest room
Now that the teams were in full swing, it was time to focus on their guest rooms… and boy, did Dan and Dani have a lot to say about them.
While Houses 1 and 2 were well received by the couple, it was Kylie and Brad’s space in House 4 that got them talking.
While Dan was excited about the ceiling fan (“You can see they’re from Queensland!”), there were many aspects that Dani disagreed with.
Summary of Episode 8: Stunned team wins Guest Room Reveals by just half a point
“This house already looks really dated,” she said, pointing out the black elements the duo chose. “Look… I’m just thinking about last week’s bathroom and this week’s bedroom. I literally feel like the house is old.”
But one feature really stunned Dani. “The colors… (and) what is that? LED lighting?”

After gasping in horror at the LED lights surrounding the bed frame, Dani was quick to point out the decoration she didn’t like. “The lily… they’re used at funerals,” she said.
“I’m really starting to worry about these guys.”
But when it came to Jesse and Paige’s room in House 1… let’s just say they were thrilled with what they saw.

The duo also had a LOT to say about Kristian and Mimi’s winning room, but we’ll let you find that out for yourself.
You will also see who they voted as their “Champs” and “Chumps” for Week 2, and the choice will certainly differ from what the judges said.
Week 1: Guest bathroom
When Dan and Dani first toured the villas on Phillip Island, it was Kylie and Brad’s all-black bathroom in House 4 that freaked them out.
A black toilet, black toilet paper, black walls… it was Dani’s worst nightmare.
“This is probably the room I liked least that I have ever seen on The Block. EVER in the time we’ve been doing this,” she said. “This is not the time to experiment with design decisions that are so polarizing.”
But Dan remained positive and even said that he quite liked some aspects of the room.

“I feel like I don’t even know who you are anymore. You love this room? You LIKE this room? That’s bad enough! I’m actually pretty speechless,” Dani replied.
Over in Jesse and Paige’s unfinished room in House 1, Dani was quick to praise the “stunning” color scheme of the tile—but she had a lot to say about everything else, too.

Meanwhile, “Ricky and Haydn’s House 2” did not receive rave reviews from Dan.
“This sucks for me. There’s nothing here that I like,” he said, and the couple agreed that the color scheme was pretty off – just as the judges had said.

Who are Dan and Dani?
The couple is one of the most famous faces on The Block after they first appeared as participants in season 5 in 2012. The couple returned in 2013 for The Block All stars.
Her block His career didn’t end there, as Dan, a certified construction worker, worked alongside Keith as a foreman – a job he started in 2015 under the title of “foreman.”

Keith Schleiger is stepping down from his long-standing role as foreman this year as he was unable to move to Phillip Island full-time, so Dan will take on the role of sole foreman.
That’s not the only big news this year, because in July Dan and Dani confirmed that they are expecting their first child together!
“So who’s to say the stroller isn’t theirs?! Baby Reilly is coming in late 2024,” they wrote in a joint post.
