A recent WWE study assumed that the crowd at her last WWE appearance was cheering for The Rock, not her.
Japanese wrestling star Giulia has reportedly signed a new contract with the Stamford-based promotion and will soon begin her journey, working her last few dates with Marigold before heading to the United States of America.
The former Wonder of Women Stardom Champion appeared at NXT Stand And Deliver during WrestleMania weekend and was greeted with loud roars and cheers. However, in an interview with Creators, the wrestler revealed how surprised she was by the reaction.
I actually didn’t think they were cheering for me at the time. When I stood up, the whole room was chanting “Whoaaaaaa!”, so I thought, “Maybe some great star came?” Even though I tried to look on the screen, the big screen in the room was right above me, so I couldn’t see anything.”
She also hilariously revealed that she thought the cheering was for The Rock and not for her.
Even when someone said, “That was a huge cheer!” I thought, “Was that for me?” When I watched the video later, I had such a silly look on my face and thought, “How embarrassing!” No, on the contrary, I thought, “There’s no way people would cheer me like that!” The scale is different from Japan and I just thought, “Did anyone come? Dwayne Johnson?”
The Rock suffered a serious injury while filming A24’s “The Smashing Machine”
WWE legend Brahma Bull’s upcoming film, The Smashing Machine, recently wrapped and is currently in pre-production. However, The Rock sustained a serious injury during filming.
In a social media video, he shared his thoughts and talked about his injury and the pain he was going through.
As you know, I’m doing a movie called The Smashing Machine. And every time your movie is called The Smashing Machine, you get smashed in some way. Look at that thing. It looks like I’ve got a melon on the bottom of my elbow. I got hurt pretty badly in our scenes today and there might be some soft tissue injuries.”
The former champion returned earlier this year and was involved in a feud with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, and is rumored to return later next year and spark a feud against the Tribal Chief.
