If you’ve almost given up hope of landing your dream job, we have good news for you! The Center for Dairy Research in Madison, Wisconsin, has just announced an amazing new research position that will require you to taste cheese, pizza, and other foods all week.
The Descriptive Sensory Panelist position is fully compensated ($15 per hour, to be exact), so you can earn some extra money while enjoying all your favorite foods!
“The Center for Dairy Research is looking for individuals who are passionate about all types of foods, but especially cheese, pizza and other dairy products,” a job description reads. “Once hired, we will train you to become part of a group of experts who are able to verbally describe their sensory experiences based on appearance, texture, taste and aroma for research and product development purposes. Participants should expect to taste up to 24 cheese samples and 12 pizzas per week, in addition to other foods.”
Although tasting pizza and different cheeses is a big part of the job, you will also have to do some additional work. Those selected to be a Descriptive Sensory Panelist will have to describe a wide range of foods, participate in panel discussions, attend training discussions, and more.
