Jennifer Garner calls the “chaos” of parenthood a “gift”

Jennifer Garner has opened up about co-parenting her children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, claiming the “chaos of parenting” is a “gift.”

The “The Last Thing He Told Me” actress opened up about raising her three children with her ex-husband in the latest episode of Variety’s “Actors on Actors” series. Jennifer was joined by fellow actress Sheryl Lee Ralph and the two discussed their experiences with divorce, motherhood and wanting to provide their children with a solid upbringing despite their fame.

“Despite all the fame and everything, I feel like I live a very normal life, and I think you have a similar aura,” Sheryl told Jennifer during the conversation, adding, “And we love our children.”

“Yes, and with everything that comes with it,” Jennifer agreed, before describing the “chaos of parenthood” as a “gift.”

Jennifer and Ben, who separated in 2015 after ten years of marriage, have three children together: Violet, 17, Seraphina Rose, 14, and Samuel, 11.

In the chat, 51-year-old Jennifer also confirmed that she still has a friendly relationship with her ex-husband.

“They did something I did – maintain a healthy relationship with my ex for the sake of my children,” Sheryl said, addressing the topic of co-parenting. “When we’re constantly in the spotlight, it can be difficult at times.”

Jennifer quickly agreed and replied, “Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.”
