One-way street regulation next week

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will implement the following one-way traffic restrictions on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 next week due to maintenance and construction. The work is scheduled as follows:

State Road 49

• One-way traffic from State Route 49 to Smith Road for striping work beginning Monday, August 26. Work will continue through Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic from Mt. Ophir Road to Bear Valley Road due to road construction beginning Monday, August 26. Work will resume from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2024.

• One-way traffic from the start of the fast lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 for road construction beginning Sunday, August 25. Work will continue through Monday, August 26, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Also from Tuesday, August 27, to Friday, August 30, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• One-way traffic will be imposed on Whitlock Road to Yosemite National Park for road construction beginning Sunday, August 25. Work will continue through Friday, August 30, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays of 5-10 minutes and use alternative routes if possible.

Work will be carried out as specified but is subject to change due to traffic disruptions, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction issues.
