KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 – The global outage of IT systems running on Microsoft-based systems appears to have reached Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), with social media users reporting operational disruptions at Terminal 2.
Since the kiosks in Terminal 2 are not in operation, there are long queues so travelers have to check in manually at counters.
There are 10 more tour groups welcoming many people in KLIA (T2). I only need to use one Q counter (domestic and international) for check-in. Kiosks remain offline. pic.twitter.com/b0x4DtDw2y

Express airport train service KLIA Express announced on X (formerly Twitter) that its payment system had failed and tickets could only be purchased manually.
PAYMENT SYSTEM UPDATE, July 19, 2024: Due to a technical glitch, tickets cannot currently be purchased through our app, website or digital wallets. Please go to the counter to purchase your tickets.

So far, only Air Asia has confirmed that its internal systems are affected, but flight operations are still possible.

The situation at Terminal 1 is better as neither Malaysia Airports nor Malaysia Airlines say there are no disruptions.
