The latest find by “AMERICAN Pickers” star Mike Wolfe has left his fans confused after guests turned down a hefty offer of $75,000.

Clips from the episode were shared on the American Pickers Facebook page and show Mike, 60, and his co-star Jon “Jersey Jon” Szalay, 60, negotiating a deal for a rare Mustang.

In one of these pictures, the two are very excited as they make their way to a barn in Alabama where the owner of a 1967 Shelby Mustang has stored his car.

Their excitement only increased when they arrived and saw the vintage car, which Mike raved about as being almost “impossible to find” since only 2,000 of them were made.

The guests revealed that they had paid $3,700 for the car in 1983, although they had hoped to sell it for a much higher price.

After thoroughly examining the vehicle and consulting with a classic car expert, Mike and Jon determined that the restoration would cost more than $100,000, which reduces the value of the car.

However, the owners were keen to make a decent profit and announced that they had turned down two previous offers of $75,000 – the same amount Mike wanted to offer.

IS IT WORTH THE COST?

Ultimately, the owners refused to give up the car at that price and the group went their separate ways.

Spectators were surprised by this swap, as they considered the $75,000 price tag for the car to be more than reasonable.

“You should get the $75,000 instead,” suggested one fan in the comments.

“It’s definitely worth saving, but I wouldn’t pay $75,000,” another commented.

“Worth far more than 10,000, but not 75,000,” a third person chimed in.

Fans have been frequently expressing their displeasure with the show lately, as ratings have not remained consistent for some time.

Despite concerns about the future of the show, Mike, Jon and Mike’s brother Robbie Wolfe, 63, have been filming new episodes on the road.

Earlier this week, Robbie revealed when fans can finally expect the premiere of season 26 after a months-long break.

Robbie shared the news in an Instagram post, which also included a photo of him surrounded by the show’s film crew.

In his caption, he hinted that they would be recording new episodes before the new season premieres on October 15.

A few days earlier, Jon had told his fans that the group was filming for the show in the Midwest.

This was a relief for loyal fans who feared that the long-running series might soon come to an end.

PENSION DISCUSSION

A close friend of Mike had previously revealed to the US Sun that Mike and Robbie were considering retiring.

However, that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon, as The US Sun exclusively reported in May that American Pickers has been renewed for three more seasons.

The main roles in the History Channel series were originally played by Mike, Danielle Colby, 48, and Frank Fritz, 58.

Robbie joined the team in 2020 after Frank’s dismissal and Jon signed last year, apparently to boost ratings.
