Nikola Jokic gave away nearly $400,000 worth of gifts to Serbian teammates

Nikola Jokic gave away nearly 0,000 worth of gifts to Serbian teammates

Nikola Jokic is not only the best basketball player in the world when it comes to passing.

Also when it comes to handing out bling, The Big Honey might be the best.

Although our top talent is in the writing business, the team at Grading The Week believes that actions speak louder than any words on this page.

And GTW is determined to back up your boasts.

Is there anyone – and certainly no one in basketball – who conquers both fronts better than the Joker, here and now?

The three-time NBA MVP not only helped the Serbian basketball team win a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but according to the Blic newspaper in his home country, Jokic bought a Rolex watch for each of his teammates on the national team.

Jokic’s Serbian gifts – A.

The highlight? These watches were reportedly worth $32,500 each. This brings the Joker’s total purchase price to an estimated $357,500 for 11 watches.

Jokic and Serbia won the bronze medal in men’s basketball in Paris thanks to a 93-83 victory over Germany in the tournament’s third-place game. The Nuggets star also had a very Jokic-like stat line – 19 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

The wild card averaged 18.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists for his home country, which finished the tournament 4-2, becoming the first Olympian to lead all three categories in a single season.

Apparently, no one gives as much as Jokic when it comes to gifts. At least the Joker could afford this fantastic gesture: According to Spotrac.com, the Nuggets center will require $51.4 million in salary cap in 24-25 and $55.2 million in 25-26.

If you’re like the GTW staff, you don’t just want Jokic as the centerpiece of your franchise right now. You also want him as your secret Santa.

Big Russ’ Debut – D.

Russell Wilson’s Steelers stats after the second week of preparation: One appearance, five drives led, zero points, three sacks.

Bo Nix’s Broncos stats after the second week of preseason: Two appearances, seven led drives, 30 points, zero sacks.

It’s still early, and we’ll know in a month if Sean Payton won the Broncos’ game against the Steelers in a head-to-head comparison.

But the coach is off to a flying start when it comes to winning this dispute. And justifying an incredibly expensive football divorce.

Valors Friday – A.

Love them or hate them, last Friday was a pretty good day to be an Eagle.

Earlier in the day, former Valor player and PGA star Wyndham Clark fought his way back into BMW Championship title contention with a second-round 68 at Castle Pines, including five birdies. Later in the evening, his alma mater’s football team opened the season with a 31-14 victory over Pine Creek, the latter of which beat Valor 31-17 last September.
