Why did Green Day postpone their concert at Hershey Park Stadium?

A concert by pop-punk rockers Green Day scheduled for August 10 has been postponed.

The band announced via a post on their Facebook page that the planned performance at Hersheypark Stadium would be postponed.

“Philly, you were incredible last night! Thank you for battling through the rain with us!” the post read. “Unfortunately, Billie lost his voice right after leaving the stage and will not be able to perform at the show in Hershey tonight. We are so sorry to miss you tonight, but here’s the good news – the rescheduled date is September 2nd, so hold on to your tickets – we’ll see you then!”

It is the second time this season that a concert at the stadium has been postponed. Stevie Nicks was scheduled to perform at Hersheypark Stadium on June 15, but a member of her band became ill hours before the show began. The concert was postponed to September 28.
