The History Center of Olmsted County will host its annual Days of Yesteryear from Saturday, August 10, 2024, through Sunday, August 11, 2024, on the Ralph Stoppel grounds near the History Center of Olmsted County in Rochester.

In 2012, Nibbe was talking to someone on the bus about historical events when he found out that Days of Yesteryear needed a broom maker. The machine he uses at the History Center of Olmsted County was made in 1893 and still contains mostly original parts.

He himself began the practice 11 years ago when he discovered there were historic broom-making tools in Olmsted County and no one using them.
