The 2024 Olympic Games were an incredible display of athleticism, sportsmanship and grace. They’re coming to a close this weekend, and many of us will miss tuning in and watching our favorites compete. But just because the closing ceremonies are getting closer doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.
Chuck Aoki, an American Paralympian and three-time medalist in wheelchair rugby, loves the Olympics and the excitement that comes with it. However, in a thought-provoking Instagram post, he explained that being a Paralympian during the Olympics is “wild.”
Chuck invited us all to his party
He didn’t mince his words and said, “Consider this your official invitation. And make sure you send it to someone, because invitations can sometimes get lost in the mail.”
Many people wrote that they would tune in: “WE’RE COMING TO YOUR PARTY, CHUCK.”
Someone suggested: “You should highlight it in every commercial break. And send Snoop back!”
“How can we watch in the US? I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Paralympics on TV here,” asked one follower.
Chuck answered that question with a follow-up video and told us to turn on Peacock.
“Peacock is like your Paralympics home,” he said, adding that it was a “Paralympics Peacock party.”
The Paralympics begin in Paris on August 29 and run until September 2. With more than 4,000 athletes competing in 22 different sports, there is sure to be something for everyone.
Chuck, thanks for the invite. We’ll be there!
