Years of “Storrowings” in Boston – NBC Boston

Accidents in which trucks get stuck under overpasses on Storrow Drive in Boston are so common that they have become a verb.

Trucks are “storrowed,” a local term for driving trucks too large for Boston’s low, overhanging bridges. This is especially common during student move-in season and can cause significant delays in an already congested part of the city.

Boston photojournalist Mark Garfinkel of NBC10 has seen dozens of incidents in his years of covering Boston. Here is a sampling.
