Wall Town Wonders is developing into a mixed reality city-building game from the perspective of The Borrowers and is set to release on Meta Quest later this year.
Using mixed reality for a video game offers potential, but it also brings challenges: how do you create a world when you never know what environment the player will be in while playing? This problem disappears when the players are the ones creating that world, and that’s exactly the goal of developer Cyborn’s latest VR project following its 2022 hit “Hubris.”
Wall Town Wonders turns your living room into the foundation for a miniature city, complete with a variety of miniature characters. In your role as a god in this world, you aim to help them rebuild their city, unlocking a range of buildings, characters and customization options as you progress through the game.
The full game promises challenges that not only help the citizens of this city but also unlock new features and mini-games, while the promised seasonal updates suggest an ever-changing world with each passing month.
Wall Town Wonders is scheduled to release for Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro in Q4. Pre-orders are now available and promise an exclusive skin and a discount on the game.
