In the following episode, Donald talks about his birthday, his acting career, which began with The Wise Little Chicken (1934), his middle name, his friends, and more.

“Mickey Mouse and his friends, including Donald Duck, have always been a part of pop culture, so it only made sense that Donald and Mickey would appear on one of the Internet’s most popular shows with celebrity guests,” said Tim Pennoyer, director of brand marketing for The Walt Disney Company.

The animation for Donald in this episode of “Hot Ones” was done by the team at Walt Disney Animation Studios, led by animator Eric Goldberg. Disney legend Tony Anselmo voiced Donald as usual, alongside Bret Iwan as Mickey Mouse.

“It was a great honor to direct this special episode of ‘Hot Ones’ featuring two of our biggest stars, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. Of course, Donald can be a little moody at times, but all the artists involved had a lot of fun animating him!” said Goldberg. “It was fun working with Sean Evans and the ‘Hot Ones’ team and providing the voices for Donald, Tony Anselmo, and Mickey, Bret Iwan.”

Donald’s 90th birthday was also honored with exclusive merchandise including a Dooney & Bourke collection and a Disney Munchlings popcorn bucket and plush figures. Merchandise is available at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and DisneyStore.com.
