Men’s lacrosse ranks 17th in Inside Lacrosse Way-Ahead rankings

BALTIMORE, Maryland – Harvard men’s lacrosse again earned national recognition in an early rankings poll this week, landing at No. 17 in the Inside Lacrosse Way-Ahead rankings. This is the second time the Crimsons have landed in an early rankings poll this summer, as the group was ranked No. 18 in the USA Lacrosse poll just last week. Harvard is already looking forward to getting back on the field for the 2025 season, which is set to begin in mid-February.

Harvard will return a talented group of players to the field this season, including two of its starting players – Tewaaraton Finalist, Sam Koenig and All-Ivy League honoree, Teddy Malone – who delivered league-leading performance in the regular season. The group will also bring back regular players Miles Botkiss, Logan IP, Owen Gaffney And Andrew Perry They are all expected to play an important role in Coach Hutchinson’s attacking strategy this season.

On defense, The Frisbie Family is head coach for Harvard’s men’s lacrosse, Gerry Byrnewill again train a competent group consisting of Tommy Martinson, Joost de Koning, Martin Nelson And Owen Guest. The Crimsons, one of the Ivy League’s best defensive teams since Coach Byrne arrived in Cambridge, will look to build on their 2024 performance when they begin training for the season this fall.
