MILLIGAN, Tenn. (August 23, 2024) – This fall, the works of Milligan University students will be on display in the Art Lab at the William King Museum of Art, the region’s premier fine arts institution in Abingdon, Virginia.
The exhibition “Type + Image + Motion” runs through November 13 and features outstanding pieces created by graphic design and interactive media students in the 2023-2024 academic year.
“It is an honor to be invited to showcase our students’ work in the Art Lab at the William King Museum of Art,” said Art Brown, Milligan’s associate professor of graphic design. “Visitors will be able to see the high quality of our students’ work, as well as the quality of our graphic design and interactive media design programs as we prepare our students for careers in the creative fields.”
The exhibition features the work of 20 Milligan students and each piece was selected by Milligan professors from the following Milligan courses – Typography, Digital Illustration, Interactive Media Design, Motion Graphics, Pixel-Based Design and Imaging, and Advanced Graphic Design and Branding.
The Art Lab at the William King Museum of Art serves as a gathering, learning, and studio space for artists, creatives, designers, and makers of all ages. The exhibition, “Type + Image + Motion,” will be on display on the gallery walls in the hallway and on screens outside the Art Lab’s digital media lab.
