Dermot Mulroney, Malin Akerman and Brian Austin Green have signed for the indie drama Perfectly imperfecta poignant story that delves deep into the complexities of love and redemption. Directed by Stuart Gatt, the screenplay was written by Gary O. Bennett and produced by Gatt, Bennett, Akerman and Lisa Zane.

The story centers on Green’s character John, who, after years in prison, struggles with his broken relationship with his daughter. Mulroney plays the role of his “estranged father-in-law Edward,” a character wracked with guilt over the tragic death of his daughter. The story unfolds as John embarks on a journey to reconcile with his daughter while “dealing with the demons of his past.”

Akerman plays the character Claire and enters the story as John’s lover. Her character is described as “a woman with a painful past” who becomes entangled in John’s search for redemption. The film explores human weaknesses and the quest for forgiveness and is likely to resonate with audiences with its “emotional depth.”

The film is currently in pre-production and with its strong cast and gripping storyline Perfectly imperfect is set to be an outstanding indie drama that explores the “human condition” and the complexities of family relationships.
