Fortunately, some airlines now offer a cheaper option for international flights. So-called “couch” seats allow passengers to reserve a whole range of economy class tickets at a price that is less than the price of a first class seat.

Air Astana
On Kazakhstan’s Air Astana, you can book an entire row of seats with the Economy Sleeper option. The cost of a one-way flight from London is about $1,950, compared with $4,738 for a business class seat, The Design Air reported.

Air New Zealand
A one-way ticket on Air New Zealand SkyCouch from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York to Auckland, New Zealand, costs $2,342, Thrillist reported.

ANA
The Japanese airline ANA offers the “ANA COUCHii” seating option on certain flights. The cost of this upgrade ranges from $130 to $2,580, depending on the time of year and the number of passengers reserving the seats.
Lufthansa
For long-haul flights, Lufthansa offers an upgrade to the “Sleeper’s Row” reservation. The cost of the upgrade is between 179 and 249 US dollars.
Vietnam Airlines
According to the airline’s website, you can upgrade to a Sky Sofa for just $100 per row per passenger.
