Avelo Airlines announced on August 22 that it is extending its flight schedule from Wilmington Airport through April 29, 2025.

Avelo will offer eleven destinations from Wilmington Airport, with six new flights being added this fall.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina will not be available in the spring but can be booked until November 4 and 5, respectively.

A reassessment of the flight schedule was originally planned for November, but the airline has confirmed that most of the current destinations will be confirmed until next spring.

Which current flight destinations will remain?

The following destinations are currently available and can be booked until April 29, 2025. Frequency changes may be made in the fall, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL)

Flights to Fort Lauderdale are available twice a week, Thursdays and Sundays, until August 18.

Fort Myers, Florida (RSW)

Flights to Fort Myers depart from Wilmington on Mondays and Fridays through November 4.

San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU)

Flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, the only destination outside the continental United States, will depart twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays through November 2.

Tampa, Florida (TPA)

Until September 26th, there will be flights to Tampa twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. From September 29th, the frequency will increase to three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, until November 5th.

New destinations available this fall

These four flights will arrive at Wilmington Airport in November and can be booked until April 29, 2025.

Atlanta (ATL)

Starting Friday, November 8, flights to and from Atlanta will be available every Monday and Friday.

Daytona Beach, Florida (DAB)

Starting Thursday, November 7, flights to Daytona Beach, Florida, will begin on Thursdays and Sundays.

Palm Beach, Florida (PBI)

Starting Friday, November 8, flights to Palm Beach, Florida, will resume on Mondays and Fridays.

Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida (SRQ)

Starting Saturday, November 23, travelers can fly to Sarasota, Florida, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

At the end of July, Avelo announced that flights from Wilmington Airport to Concord, North Carolina and Lakeland, Florida would also be offered starting in early November.

Concord/Charlotte, North Carolina (USA)

Flights to Concord/Charlotte, North Carolina, begin November 8 and depart Mondays and Fridays.

Lakeland/Orlando, Florida (LAL)

Starting November 7, flights to Lakeland, Florida, will depart on Thursdays and Sundays.

Which flights will no longer operate after this autumn?

These two destinations will be available until early November but will not return for the spring season.

Myrtle Beach, SC (MYR)

Flights to Myrtle Beach resumed on Friday, May 3, and will fly twice weekly, Mondays and Fridays, through August 30.

From September 2nd, flights will be increased to three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until November 4th.

Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM)

On May 3, flights from Wilmington, North Carolina, to ILG resumed. Flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays through September 2.

From September 5th, flights will be moved to Thursdays and Sundays for the rest of the month. From October 1st, the frequency will be increased to three flights per week until November 5th: Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
