This Clean Beauty Line Kept Me Free From Breakouts – Review

This Clean Beauty Line Kept Me Free From Breakouts – Review

I don’t think I mean acne-free skin days last month because I started getting pimples on my forehead and near my upper lip right at the beginning of August. My pimples were incredibly stubborn so I had to start all over again and start with the basics.

As often as I can, my Skin care products, my skin doesn’t react to them when it’s in anger mode. Thankfully, I found Farmacy Beauty’s Green collection, and it’s been my saving grace. Their products soothe any irritation my skin has, and I only need to stick with their curated routine for a few weeks without using too many other products. Is it worth it, you ask? I could easily say yes, but I’ll leave it up to you by getting to know this clean beauty line, how I use some of their products, and more!

What is Farmacy Beauty’s green line?

It’s also a certified clean beauty brand that’s made without parabens and mineral oil, not to mention it’s cruelty-free and the packaging is zero-waste. You know I love products that are sustainable for our skin And the environment!

Why do I use Farmacy Beauty Green Collection?

My skin has come a long way from the days of pimples and dark spotsbut it’s far from perfect. I still get small breakouts and my pores are always visible. When that happens, I try to use mostly products from the same brand in the first four steps of my skincare routine.

I started limiting the number of cleansing, toning and moisturizing products I use about 10 years ago because I noticed my skin responds better to them. My esthetician says otherwise, but that’s because I’m not afraid to use different products when the situation calls for it. I just prefer to go back to the basics when my skin reacts to something I’ve eaten, stress, environmental factors, etc.

So how do I actually incorporate the Farmacy Beauty Green Collection into my skincare routine? I’m glad you asked!

First step: Farmacy Beauty Whipped Greens Oil-Free Cleansing Foam

Before using Farmacy Beauty’s Whipped Greens Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser, I wet my face. I think this signals to my skin that it’s time for a cleanse, and it also helps me work the product in better.

As the name suggests, it’s an oil-free cleanser with a balanced pH and no harsh soaps! It penetrates the pores and gently removes dirt and excess oil without leaving your skin feeling sore.

I’m serious: my skin feels squeaky clean and suspiciously soft every time I use it. I say “suspiciously” because I tend to stare at my skin to see if it starts peeling or breaking out five minutes after using this cleanser. But nothing bad ever happens, so I just keep going!

While it does take a little effort to get the product out, BUT you also don’t need much for this cleanser to do its job. A little really goes a long way. I also want to mention that the cleanser has a green tint to it, so don’t be surprised. I don’t want you to think you got a faulty product – Farmacy Beauty just loves themes, so the color is on par with their aptly named collection.

Farmacy Beauty Deep Sweep Pore Cleansing Toner

Step two: Farmacy Beauty Deep Sweep 2% BHA Pore Cleansing Toner

My pores need extra TLC, so I follow up with Farmacy Beauty’s Deep Sweep 2% BHA Cleaning Toner. It’s an alcohol-free toner that not only cleanses the pores thoroughly, but also exfoliates and regulates sebum production. I think I just heard a chorus of people with combination skin cheering, but maybe I’m just imagining it.

The point is that this toner doesn’t sting after using a cleanser, which is ideal for anyone. I’ve used some toners that hurt, and now I’m less inclined to use them.

Even if I use something like Kate Somerville’s Sulphur CleanerI never Avoid using this toner.

Step three: Farmacy Beauty Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer

Every step of my skincare routine is important to me, but I really don’t want to skip out on hydrating my skin. It’s true that Farmacy Beauty’s Whipped Greens Oil-Free Cleansing Foam and Deep Sweep 2% BHA Pore Cleansing Toner leave my skin soft, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t follow up with a moisturizer to protect everything.

Oddly enough, I didn’t realize I should be using an oil-free moisturizer until I tried this one a few years ago. Not only does it moisturize, but it also helps balance your skin’s natural oils and cleanse your pores. Sounds cool, right? But that’s not all! It’s also fragrance-free and feels weightless on the skin.

PS: Don’t be surprised – it’s also slightly green!

Farmacy Beauty Green Defense Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Step four: Farmacy Beauty Green Defense Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30

After my skin is cleansed, toned, and moisturized, I reach for Farmacy Beauty’s Green Defense Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 whether I plan to spend most of the day indoors or not. I realized a long time ago that not using sunscreen every day contributes to more hyperpigmentation, so I quickly changed my mindset.

This particular product protects against UVA and UVB rays without being greasy. It is virtually invisible so it doesn’t leave any creepy white marks behind either. When I wear makeup, it works well with my Elf Beauty Power Grip Primer for make-up – it provides the perfect combination of matte and dew!

Is it safe to use on sensitive skin?

In addition to my combination skin, someone thought it would be cool if my biology was also sensitive. That’s annoying when you’re trying to find beauty products that don’t cause breakouts. And allergic reactions, but Farmacy Beauty is the first non-drugstore brand that completely takes care of my skin.

Even if the products contain moringa and papaya, your skin may still have an adverse reaction. Be sure to read the ingredients to see if you are allergic to anything and do a patch test when you decide to purchase the cleanser, toner or gel moisturizer!
