CDB Aviation delivers A330-300 P2F to MNG Airlines

CDB Aviation has announced the delivery of an Airbus A330-300 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft to a new customer in Turkey, MNG Airlines.

The aircraft offers more cargo volume and lower cost per tonne than other available freighter aircraft types with similar range and will help drive MNG Airlines’ ambitious growth targets and the modernisation of its fleet.

Ali Sedat Özkazanç, CEO of MNG Airlines, said: “As the aviation industry continues to transform, cargo transportation is playing an increasingly important role. We are further improving its adaptability to the industry’s dynamic environment by adding new aircraft to our growing fleet.

“At the same time, by modernising our fleet, we are expanding our regional and international network by improving our service quality with this new aircraft and the other A330 P2Fs already in our fleet.

“This delivery from CDB Aviation to MNG Airlines strengthens the cooperation between the two companies and represents an essential step in MNG Airlines’ growth strategy.”

Chen added: “The delivery of the Airbus A330-300 P2F increases our cargo capacity and contributes to our sustainability goals by reducing our carbon footprint through lower fuel consumption and lower emissions. Therefore, we believe this collaboration can set an example for other airlines in the industry.”

Jie Chen, CEO of CDB Aviation, said: “We are delighted to welcome MNG Airlines as our newest customer in the EMEA region as we continue to expand our fleet of efficient mid-size freighters, providing our airline customers with the capacity they need to modernize their fleets and enhance cargo operations.”

CDB Aviation is a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited (CDB Leasing).
