The final night of the DNC will be Thursday at the United Center, but ineligible Chicagoans can go to a viewing party at Soldier Field instead.
According to the group GoChiLife, the television party will culminate with Vice President Kamala Harris’ speech when she accepts the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.
Prior to that speech, several high-profile artists will take the stage at Soldier Field, including Chicago-based band Common, who will perform early in the evening.
The House Chi will also perform and, according to officials, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson will address the crowd during the event.
Entry to the viewing party is free, according to officials, but the website currently says all tickets are sold out. You can sign up here for alerts when more tickets become available.
Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer are also expected to speak at the convention on Thursday. The Chicks and Pink are also expected to perform.
