Tom Brady shares rare new photos with his son Jack

Seven Super Bowl rings mean nothing when you’re playing against your own DNA. (Especially when you’re playing another sport.) Tom Brady just shared several rare photos of his eldest son, Jack, and surprisingly revealed that the 17-year-old can “beat” him at this one sport – and no, it’s not football.

“Happy 17th birthday to the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful 17 year old I know,” the former NFL player, who shares Jack with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, wrote on Instagram today. “You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to watch you grow into a young man. Your love for family, friends, school, sports, hard work, and dedication to everything you put your energy into are just a few of your amazing qualities.”

“I spend every minute with you and I cherish our time together,” he continued. Then, in a funny aside, Brady admitted defeat. “(These are all things I like most about you. My least favorite thing is that you can now beat me one-on-one 🙄😂),” he wrote. Classic! Apparently Jack is better at basketball than his old man and we love that about him.

Working extra hard to beat his dad in basketball is apparently something Jack has been training for quite some time. In June 2023, Brady joked with his son about his abilities. “You’re growing up too fast Jackie,” he wrote on his Instagram story. “But… still waiting for that first 🏀 win against me 🤣🤣🤣.”

Even though his son has finally beaten him, there is only love between Brady and Jack. “Love you always and forever, happy birthday dad,” he captioned the birthday post. In the photos, Jack also looks almost as tall as his father. One is a father and son selfie on the golf course, another shows the two side by side with matching poses and smiles. Brady also shared a video of Jack’s swing and a photo of Jack with his younger siblings Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, whom he has with ex Gisele Bündchen.

The comments were full of love. “Beautifully said Tom! Happy 17th birthday Jack!! Keep up the great qualities and have a great year!! 🎉🎈,” wrote one person. Another said: “Happy birthday legend, stop growing!! 😅🙏🏾🎂”
