According to the New York Post, photos from the scene of “Friends” star Matthew Perry’s death show that his bedroom was a “disaster.”

In an August 21 article, the Post cited a source who had seen the previously unpublished photos of the crime scene.

“It was a disaster,” the source told the Post about Perry’s bedroom, providing new details. “The master bedroom looked like someone was in the middle of a long drinking binge. Clothes everywhere, towels on the floor, just dirty.”

“But the rest of the house was clean, really neat,” the source told the New York Post. “Perhaps the cleaning lady wasn’t allowed in those bedrooms.”

The source told the Post: “It looks like the bedroom and bathroom were ransacked. Just looking at the scene makes it clear that something very bad happened – and someone tried to cover it up.”

The U.S. Department of Justice accuses five people, including two doctors, of criminal misconduct in connection with Perry’s death.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, Perry died in an accident on October 28, 2023 from “the acute effects of ketamine.”

The “Friends” star “was found unconscious in the pool of his home,” the press release states. It continues: “The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner (DME) has determined the cause of death for actor Matthew Langford Perry, age 54, to be the acute effects of ketamine. Contributing factors in Mr. Perry’s death include drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine (a drug used to treat opioid use disorder). The cause of death was accidental.”

However, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the charges on August 15, writing: “A licensed physician and a suspected drug dealer from the San Fernando Valley were arrested today in connection with the death of actor Matthew Perry, who died of a fatal ketamine overdose in October 2023.”

According to the Justice Department’s press release, a total of “five defendants, including two doctors, were charged” in this case.

“The defendants arrested today are accused in an 18-count indictment refiled Wednesday of distributing ketamine during the final weeks of Perry’s life: Jasveen Sangha, 41, aka ‘The Ketamine Queen,’ of North Hollywood, and Dr. Salvador Plasencia, 42, aka ‘Dr. P,’ of Santa Monica,” the press release said.

“Sangha and Plasencia are charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Sangha is also charged with one count of operating a drug-related establishment, one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count of possession of ketamine with intent to distribute and five counts of distribution of ketamine,” it said.

“The new indictment alleges that Sangha’s distribution of ketamine caused Perry’s death on October 24, 2023. Plasencia is charged with seven counts of ketamine distribution and two counts of tampering with and falsifying documents or records in connection with the federal investigation,” the press release said.

“These defendants were more concerned with profiting from Mr. Perry than with his well-being,” U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said in the press release. “Drug dealers who sell dangerous substances gamble with other people’s lives for greed. This case and our many other prosecutions of drug dealers who cause deaths send a clear message that we will hold drug dealers accountable for the deaths they cause.”
