Fans can get free coffee for 711 days by getting a tattoo in NYC on August 28

On August 28, 7-Eleven will release an exclusive anniversary blend of Green Day’s coffee brand Punk Bunny Coffee for a limited time at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores nationwide. This epic collaboration was created to commemorate the 60th anniversary of 7-Eleven originating the idea of ​​freshly brewed coffee in to-go cups and the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s breakthrough album, Idiot.

To celebrate the launch, 7-Eleven and Punk Bunny are offering a chance to win big by honoring the tradition of Green Day fans cementing their fandom with ink—with a twist. On August 28th starting at 8 a.m. ET, the first 50 fans ages 21 and older who show up at 7-Eleven at 800 6th Ave in New York City and get a custom 7-Eleven x Punk Bunny tattoo will receive free 7-Eleven coffee for 711 days. The one-of-a-kind, semi-permanent tattoo was designed by Lady Cobra, a fellow Bay Area tattoo artist who will be on hand at the event and will ink some fans herself.

The perfect way to start your day, Punk Bunny Coffee Anniversary Blend features citrus notes that awaken the senses and an undertone of rich stone fruit. Warm cocoa with a gentle hint of spice on the finish creates a layered coffee experience. In addition to the exclusive Anniversary Blend roast, Punk Bunny brings Fair Trade Certified coffee to 7-Eleven. Sound Check and Last Ride In roasts and K-Cups are available in stores. Fans nationwide can score a limited edition Punk Bunny-themed collector’s refill cup at 7-Eleven and Speedway stores while supplies last.

“When we first came together as a band in high school, our hometown 7-Eleven was our local hangout,” says Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. “As we celebrate the anniversaries of two of our biggest albums, it’s fitting that our coffee company, Punk Bunny, is now available at 7-Eleven stores.”

NoPunk Bunny Coffee has teamed up with 7-Eleven’s online merchandise store 7Collection to create a capsule of limited-time merchandise to celebrate the collaboration. The capsule includes co-branded t-shirts, tote bags, and stickers.

Punk Bunny Coffee, formerly Oakland Coffee Works, was founded in 2023 by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool. The brand builds on the core values ​​of the Oakland Coffee brand founded a decade ago to offer carefully curated organic, fair trade certified coffee with a focus on sustainability and community. Punk Bunny Coffee has also partnered with Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) as part of both brands’ shared commitment to sustainability.
