Finally. It feels like an eternity since the doors closed on SummerSlam 2024, but in reality it’s been less than a week. The Red Brand always has the upper hand after a PLE, while SmackDown takes its time wrapping up the work week, but Friday came and it was no disappointment.
Cody Rhodes, LA Knight and the One Only Original Tribal Chief all made appearances following what was generally considered a successful one. Rhodes was there to demand that Kevin Owens get a title shot because he was a good best friend. LA Knight was there to breathe life into the Santos Escobar and Andrade storylines, and Roman Reigns was there to, well, reign. The Pops from Tulsa, OK (a show date originally scheduled in Washington DC) were massive everywhere, but none were bigger than when Reign entered the arena. The booking wisely left him until the end, because let’s face it… after the BabyFace turn, things can only go downhill.
