United Airlines flight has to turn around due to overflowing toilet

A United Airlines flight from Germany bound for the US had to turn around after one of the Boeing 777’s toilets overflowed and the stench of human excrement filled the plane, reports say.

The trip from Frankfurt to San Francisco on Friday was canceled after passengers reported that the contents of the toilet flowed into the passenger cabin, according to PictureThe plane was circling over the North Sea after the problem was first discovered, the tabloid reported, but technicians on the ground could not suggest a solution.

“On Friday, March 29, United Flight 59 returned to Frankfurt after experiencing a maintenance issue with one of the aircraft’s lavatories,” a United Airlines spokesperson said The sun.

The affected passengers were provided with an overnight accommodation in Frankfurt and were rebooked on a connecting flight to San Francisco for Saturday, the spokesman said.

The horrific incident is the airline’s latest accident in recent weeks.

The incident came a day after another United flight was diverted and forced to make an emergency landing in Denver after the crew reported an engine problem. No one was injured and the plane landed safely.
