Disco Pogo releases new tribute book about Aphex Twin – News

A A new tribute book about Aphex Twin will be released this year.

Aphex Twin: A tribute to Disco Pogoedited by Disco Pogo Editor: Jim Butler, designed by Chris Jones, contains interviews, essays and features about the legendary British experimental musician, whose real name is Richard D. James, from leading music journalists.

The 250+ page book also includes top-notch music photography from throughout James’ career, including an iconic cover portrait by Wolfgang Tillmans, as well as a rare glimpse into the intricate artwork of Aphex Twin’s logo designer Paul Nicholson.

The album was supported by labels closely associated with Aphex Twin, Warp Records, R&S Records and his own Rephlexco-founded with Grant Wilson-Claridge, and AFX fan site Lanner Chronicle.

The book is the second part in Disco Pogo‘s Tribute series, after release in 2023 We were robotswhich was dedicated to Daft Punk and included a reprint of Daft Punk’s very first interview with Disco Pogo Predecessor Jockey Slut.

In keeping with a book that documents the artist’s career over more than three decades, Aphex Twin: A tribute to Disco Pogo is released the same month that Richard D. James releases an expanded 30th anniversary reissue of his second album, Selected Ambient Works Volume II, one of his most influential and well-known projects.
