Two teenagers and their mother die after a head-on collision in the wrong lane on Livingston Avenue

Two teenagers and a mother were killed in a head-on collision.

According to police, 19-year-olds Samuel Beyene and Joel Beyene were both in a Dodge Charger that was driving the wrong way on East Livingston Avenue with its lights off. The Charger collided head-on with another car early Monday morning.

The driver of the other car, 32-year-old Deandra Brigham, died at the scene. The family told ABC 6 that Deandra leaves behind a young son.

While the family did not speak on camera Wednesday morning, Brigham’s grandmother told ABC6 she had a loving heart and was always willing to help others.

Brigham’s younger sister said she was a bundle of energy, the life of every party, and she was constantly singing and dancing.

According to police, Samuel Beyene, who was driving the Charger, died just hours after the crash. Joel Beyene died Tuesday afternoon.

Court records show Samuel appeared in court just last month on traffic-related charges, pleading guilty to losing control following an April crash.

A passenger who was in the Charger remains in serious condition in the hospital.

Deandra Brigham’s family told ABC 6 that a candlelight vigil is planned in her memory.
