Chick-Fil-A is making its way into the streaming business

There’s hot news from popular restaurant Chick-fil-a in the form of an original TV program. The bun and brisket company has announced that it will be entering the streaming business.

The popular fast-food chain is bringing its own original programming to an internal platform.

In keeping with Chick-fil-a’s family-friendly branding and conservative message, some of the productions will be improvised projects. Deadline reports that the brand will also leverage licenses for shows and popular programs with established audiences.

The average budget per 30-minute episode is reportedly $400,000. Release is scheduled for later this year. Scripted and animated series will also play a prominent role on the platform. In addition, 10 episodes of a game show are also planned.

Several companies outside the entertainment industry have entered the streaming business, but McDonalds began producing original content in the 1960s under McDonaldland TV This was a series with 246 episodes.

AirBnB produces Gay choir Deep Southwhich debuted on MTV. The ride-sharing program Lyft produced Happy Lyfta game show hosted by Bob the drag queen.

The streaming platform is not Chick-fil-a’s first foray into the world of original programming. They have Stories from Evergreen hillsa short animated series.

The company’s headquarters are in College Park, Georgia, but the first restaurant opened in 1967 at the Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta, GA. Chick-fil-a has over 3,000 locations across the United States.
