John Stamos wishes his wife Caitlin McHugh Stamos a happy birthday!

“Happy birthday @caitlinskybound! Today we celebrate not only your 38th birthday, but also the incredible person you are,” said the Full house “The 60-year-old alumnus” began in the caption of his sweet tribute on social media.

Stamos posted several photos of the couple, the birthday girl alone, and McHugh Stamos with her little boy in the Instagram carousel.

He and his wife married in 2018 and have a six-year-old son, Billy.

“Every day I am filled with pride when I see how tirelessly you work to make the world a better place. Thank you for being who you are and for all you do!” Stamos continued.

He expressed his appreciation for their life together, telling McHugh Stamos, “You are a good person, Caitlin, and I am lucky to call you my wife and partner on this journey. More adventures, more dreams, more us. Here’s to you, here’s to us, and here’s to never settling for less than this wonderful life we ​​have together!”

The couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary earlier this year.

“Marriage is balancing two worlds on the foundation of a promise, a lesson in compromise, and a testament to trust,” Stamos wrote in the caption of a Feb. 3 Instagram post that featured a black-and-white photo of him and McHugh Stamos sitting snuggled up close on their special day.

“It’s a partnership with mutual respect, shared adventures and shared dreams. Happy anniversary, @caitlinskybound With all my heart, forever. XOJS,” the Fuller house Stern wrote.

McHugh Stamos also sent a message on this occasion.

“6 years here and I’m as happy as I am in this photo,” McHugh Stamos explained in her caption. “Happy anniversary darling. I’m grateful for our beautiful life together. I love you darling. ❤️.”

In October 2023, Stamos spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about his family’s positive influence on his journey to sobriety.

“They kept me on that path because everybody tries to be sober and take care of themselves. Everyone does it,” he said at the time. “You could hold on for a while. Then it’s, ‘I can drink again.’ So they mainly stay on that path, that’s what they do for me.”

He added that he had to “break down” in order to continue his life with McHugh Stamos.

“When you’re older and you’re with someone younger, you think, OK, you know everything and they have to listen to me. But I always learn something from her,” he said. “What I love about our household with Billy is there’s always political conversations or charity events.”

Stamos recalled his own childhood, when his “mother was very interested in charity and giving back and things like that.”

But when he sees his wife doing things like “traveling to Tijuana to help the kids,” their bond becomes even stronger.

“I just love that in our house and I love that Billy sees that,” he told PEOPLE.
