Bo Roberts

Bo Roberts, who began his writing career in the 1960s, was the youngest newspaper editor in the country and was named the youngest cabinet-level chief of staff to a Tennessee governor. He later returned to his alma mater—the University of Tennessee at Knoxville—where he was then the youngest vice president. After his time in college, Roberts was elected the youngest CEO of an international exposition. He was named president of the 1982 Knoxville World’s Fair, an event that would ultimately be hailed as the largest tourist attraction in the southeastern United States—a record that still stands in 2023. Roberts was also a partner in a Nashville communications and publishing firm before running his own boutique marketing consulting firm, Roberts Strategies LLC. He continues to publish opinion pieces when prompted. He remains active in politics and sports, two deep-rooted passions that are crossed by his love of wine, books and travel. He and his wife (and editor) Leigh Hendry share the three interests listed above, as well as their love of regular contact with friends and family.
