New fan art turns Sydney Sweeney from “Madame Web” into the black cat of the MCU

Amid speculation about her possible role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sydney Sweeney transforms into one of Marvel’s most charismatic characters in new images. Madame Web Star is on the hunt as the MCU’s Black Cat thanks to new fan art.




The well-known digital artist Kode Abdo, better known as BossLogicpublished a new fan artwork of Sweeney in the complete Black Cat outfit on his official X-page (formerly Twitter). The pictures show Sweeney’s black cat in her catsuit poses with an innocent catand thus appeased her fans who had demanded that she play the role of the antiheroine.

Earlier this year, rumors began to circulate that Marvel had cast Sweeney as Felicia Hardy in Spider Man 4making the comic book character a real action adventure for the first time in the MCU. The possible introduction of the character in the next Spider Man The film makes sense considering that in the closing moments, Tom Holland’s version of Peter Parker moves away from the memory of his lover Michelle Jones-Watson aka MJ (Zendaya) and others. Black Cat, a morally questionable burglar and daughter of famous thief Walter Hardy, has a complicated relationship with Spider-Man and becomes his lover, although she doesn’t care who is under the mask. In the comics, Black Cat is both an ally and an enemy of Spider-Man.



Sydney Sweeney previously played a Marvel role

Sweeney portrayed Julia Cornwall, one of the Spider Women in Madame Webthe latest installment in the Sony Spider-Man universe. The unfortunate Madame Webwhich also starred Dakota Johnson in the title role, along with Isabela Merced and Celeste O’Connor, became the lowest-reviewed SSU film of all time on Rotten Tomatoes (13%) and a box office flop, though it later found success streaming on Netflix. Despite the film’s difficulties and her jokes that it was a “strategic business decision” to build relationships with Sony higher-ups, Sweeney remains grateful to have starred in the film.

Not only has Sweeney been linked to the MCU, but there have also been rumors that she is set to join James Gunn’s DC Universe. Fans have cast her as the DCU’s Power Girl and Black Canary in stunning images and hope she continues her foray into superhero films. Sweeney is set to appear in the upcoming Barbarella Reboot, a science fiction film based on the French comic series of the same name.

Sweeney last starred in the horror film Immaculatewhich, despite mixed reviews, was a box office hit (grossing $28.4 million on a $9 million budget). One of Sweeney’s next film roles will see her play the role of legendary fighter Christy Martin in an untitled biopic currently being offered by Black Bear Pictures.
