Seasonal decorations seem to pop up earlier every year. While some are still enjoying the last days of summer—which technically don’t end until September 22—others are already in full fall mode.

With people racing to dig their skeletons out of the closet (literally) and the internet awash with trending terms like “Summerween” and “Pinkoween,” I fear we’re jumping straight into spooky season and skipping fall.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Halloween, but when it comes to fall, I’m less of a carved pumpkin and haunted house kind of person and more of a pumpkin spice and fall leaves kind of person. And yes, there is a solid Distinction between autumn decorations and Halloween decorations.

If you are looking for autumn decorations like me Minus the spooky accents, then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve put together a ton of fall decorating ideas that have nothing to do with Halloween!

The best fall decorations (other than Halloween) can be maintained from September through Thanksgiving and provide plenty of fall cheer.

Non-spooky fall decor is harvest-inspired and includes fall colors like rustic orange, mustard yellow, and forest green. I’m talking a wreath adorned with fall leaves or an assortment of cute pumpkins arranged on a porch! Nothing ghostly or witchy!

For a particularly cozy autumn atmosphere, you can even bring beautiful autumn leaves into the house. String a garland with leaves and mini pumpkins or arrange a few cute little toadstools on a checkered table runner as a fun table decoration.

Nothing says fall like lighting a pumpkin or cinnamon scented candle, snuggling up in a cozy blanket (bonus points if it’s orange), and turning on some string lights. You can shop my favorite options below.

Want something more neutral? Then go for white pumpkin accents. I even found a wreath made of burlap and black and white gingham accents.

It’s never too early to start decorating for fall. Especially when the fall decorations are as cute as the ones I found below – without a hint of spooky.
