Dean Collection at the High Museum of Art Atlanta

Earlier this year, the Brooklyn Museum presented a major exhibition of artworks from the private collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. Now, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta is the next institution to host the collection of monumental works from the couple’s high-profile holdings. The presentation, titled “Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys,” will run from September 13, 2024 to January 19, 2025.

“Giants” presents a curated selection of works from Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys’ Dean Collection, focusing on Black diaspora artists of various generations. Featured artists include 20th century icons such as Nick Cave, Lorna Simpson and Barkley L. Hendricks, as well as contemporary voices such as Deana Lawson, Amy Sherald and Ebony G. Patterson.

The exhibition presents around 115 objects, including 98 significant works of art, tracing the growth of the Deans’ collection and exploring its cultural influence. As well as paintings, photographs and sculptures, visitors can also see items from the Deans’ private collections, such as albums, musical instruments and BMX bikes.
