Alicia Silverstone is healthy and happy!

The 47-year-old actress assured her worried fans that she is “fine and healthy” in an update post on Tuesday, August 20, after sharing a TikTok video of herself eating a fruit that her followers believed was poisonous.

“Don’t worry… I didn’t swallow 😉😛,” Silverstone added in the caption while sharing a photo of herself posing on her stomach.

The Clueless The update on her health comes after she shared a clip of herself eating an orange she had never seen before while taking a walk in London, England.

“I’ve discovered something I don’t know what it is and I need your help,” Silverstone explained in the video as she examined the seeded fruit she picked from someone’s garden.

“I just bit into it because it was lying on the street and we were debating whether it was a tomato or not,” she continued, accidentally dropping the fruit on the ground.

Silverstone then panned the camera to show bushes behind a fence where the strange fruit was growing.

“It’s definitely not that, because look at these leaves,” she said. “Those are the leaves. So what the heck is this? Because when you open it up, this is what it looks like,” she explained, panning the camera back to the squashed fruit she’d dropped on the floor.

Silverstone pulled out another fruit and took another bite. “And when I bite into it, I don’t think it’s allowed to eat,” she said. “But it’s almost like a pepper. Does anyone know what that is?”

Fans commented that the fruit was a Jerusalem cherry as they expressed their concerned reactions to the video.

“Girl! Berries are either awesome or damn poisonous! Don’t eat any bush stuff 😭😭,” wrote one follower.

“Is Alicia OK??? We need an update!” said a second. Another joked, “She clearly has no clue…😂,” referring to the actress’ 90s film of the same name.

According to the Northern New England Poison Center, eating Jerusalem artichoke is “harmful” and eating just a small amount of the fruit or leaves can cause “stomach nausea, vomiting or diarrhea,” while eating a larger amount can lead to “heart problems.”

Jerusalem artichoke is “poisonous” because it contains a “toxic alkaloid,” although the poison is “not life-threatening,” according to Plantura.
