Body Language Studios celebrates 3 years in Renton Highlands
Considered one of the best small businesses in the country, Body Language Studios has been in business for 15 years, but this weekend it celebrated its third anniversary in Renton.
On August 17, Body Language Dance Studio on Sunset Boulevard in Renton hosted its third annual open house and birthday party.
The event kicked off with free classes where kids and adults could learn jazz, ballet, cross training, jazz funk and breaking (don’t call it breakdancing), followed by a dance performance and a breakdance battle. The celebration was filled with raffles, birthday cake and physics-bending dancing, with kids as young as 5 participating in the breakdance battle.
Body Language Studio is owned by Lea and Jerome Aparis, who met when she was on the Seattle SuperSonics Dance Team and he was on the SuperSonics Boom Squad. The 2024-2025 dance school year begins September 3rd and is located at 3155 Sunset Boulevard NE in Renton.
