Miles Krajewski travels to Paris as a major competitor

YANKTON, SD (Dakota News Now) – If you missed our Athlete of the Week, Miles Krajewski of Yankton, last night because the news aired so late, please visit our website. He is an amazing young man.

Miles is travelling to the Paralympics in Paris in a few days, where he has a good chance of winning some medals in badminton, both in singles and doubles.

He trained all summer in Frisco, Texas after graduating from high school, where he played tennis and golf, among other sports, and was captain of the team. No one who knows him is surprised by his success, because he has had an incredible work ethic and made sacrifices since he was young to become really good at his favorite sport.

Brett Sime, Yankton’s golf coach, says, “He’s always wanted to be the best. He’s always wanted to. He wants to work hard to be the best, and he does. He participates in a lot of things.”

Mike Krajewski, Miles’ father, says: “He is very ambitious. He is also very competitive. He likes to compete in everything, whether it is in sporting events or playing cards against his siblings. He is very competitive.”

Miles Krajewski, Paralympic participant, says: “Yes, I am ambitious in everything I do. I always try to win.”

His opponents will confirm this. That means Miles has traveled to 19 countries for badminton. He also spent years driving to Omaha and back on weekends to train, and then this summer at the Frisco Badminton Academy.

It will be his first visit to Paris.
