Before hitmaker Jason Aldean had his two children Memphis (6) and Navy (5) with his wife Brittany, he had daughters Keeley (21) and Kendyl (17) with his ex-wife Jessica.
Life flies by for the singer and his family. He is aware of this and took the time to reflect on parenthood in an Instagram post for his daughter Kendyl’s birthday.
“As parents, we spend our young years running and shooting just to keep up and raise good people,” the singer writes. “One day you wake up and your kids are almost grown and you realize you’ve handled that father role pretty well.”
Aldean included photos of his teenage daughter as a little girl, as well as photos of him and Brittany with Kendyl.
“I can’t believe it’s been 17 years since you were born,” he continues. “It’s been such a joy for all of us to watch you grow up and see the kind of person you are. I’m so proud of you and everything you stand for. I love you so much and hope you have the best day.”
Stepmom Brittany also took to social media to shower her daughter with praise.

“Happy birthday to the sweetest, most amazing bonus child I could ask for,” she writes in her Instagram stories.
As for their children Memphis and Navy, the two are throwing themselves into the new school year at full speed.
“How can I have a first grader and a kindergarten student,” Brittany writes. “Where has the time gone?”
