MADISON – This weekend’s Art Tour of Homes will visit locations in Madison and Providence.
This weekend’s tour will visit homes in Madison and Providence. This inspiring event will highlight artistic talent and creative spaces within the community.
Area homeowners and art lovers will open their homes to the public to inspire visitors to start or expand their own art collection, said Patrice Johnson. Johnson is arts equity, marketing and media manager for Arts Huntsville.
The art tour is presented by the Pei Ling Charitable Trust.
The August 24 tour is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additional support was provided by Floor and Decor, ServisFirst Bank, Pic A Frame, Fountain Parker Harbarger & Associates and The Reynolds and Newberry Families.
The tour includes the following houses:
* Michael Johnson’s Madison House.
* The Madison home of Tim and Darla Malueg.
* The Madison home of Norm and Kathi Tew.
* The home of Steve and Kathryn Powers in Providence.
* Rick and Jayne Zampelli’s home in Providence.
Visitors can begin the tour at any of the five houses on the day of the event. House addresses are available at artshuntsville.org.
Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased in advance online at TicketSpice or on the day of the tour at the first house you visit (please provide the exact amount in cash).
Arts Huntsville’s Art Tour of Homes showcases how art is part of the living space and gives tour participants a better understanding of how anyone – on any budget – can use art to enhance their surroundings, Johnson said. This event provides an opportunity to experience Huntsville’s thriving and flourishing arts scene.
2024 will be the third year that Arts Huntsville will host two arts tours – one in January and one in August.
