A man who repeatedly filmed women in the dressing room of a Goodwill store in Miami-Dade claimed he was taking selfies, police said.

Diego Jose Rosales-Morillo, 25, was arrested Monday on three counts of video voyeurism following a series of incidents at the Goodwill store at 9760 Southwest 8th Street, a police report said.

The first alleged incident occurred on August 22, 2023, when Rosales-Morillo entered the store and waited for the victim to enter a dressing room, the report said.

He entered an adjoining room, reached over the partition with his phone in his hand and filmed her changing, the report said.

The woman saw what had happened in the mirror, quickly got dressed and confronted Rosales-Morillo, who apologized and said he had deleted the video, the report said.

Rosales-Morillo quickly left the store before the victim could alert staff or police.

On July 9, the store manager saw Rosales-Morillo again in the store and recognized him from the previous incident.

The manager followed Rosales-Morillo’s activities in the store and discovered that he had reached over the dressing room partition with his phone in hand and filmed a female victim, the report said.

On Aug. 12, Rosales-Morillo re-entered the store and the manager saw him again reach over the dressing room partition with his phone and pick up another victim, the report said.

The incidents were recorded on the store’s surveillance system and Rosales-Morillo was later identified as a suspect, the report said.

Police encountered Rosales-Morillo, who admitted to being in the store but denied filming anyone and claimed he was only taking selfies, the report said.

Rosales-Morillo was arrested and taken to prison.
