Madonna received the ultimate gift for her 66th birthday: all six of her children could come together in one place.
The singer, who often celebrates her birthdays in Italy, was joined by her entire family and some close friends for a series of lavish celebrations this week.
In a series of Instagram photos that appeared to be taken over several days, Madonna expressed her personality clearly, showing off her eclectic style and wearing everything from a flower crown in her hair to a veil draped over her head.

In one photo, Madonna can be seen with her six children, all posing for the camera in different clothes. The children, who are between 11 and 27 years old, are rarely seen together.
Madonna’s eldest and only biological daughter, Lourdes, 27, was born in 1996 to the singer and her ex-husband Carlos Leon. She has sons Rocco, 24, and David, 18 (whom she adopted from Malawi) with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
Madonna has done a lot of work in this East African country to combat the extreme orphan population, founding her nonprofit organization, Raising Malawi, in 2006.

Just days before her actual birthday, Madonna was spotted in Portofino with her reported new boyfriend Akeem Morris, a 28-year-old former college athlete who was also seen in the Instagram photos.
In another photo, the family was seen celebrating their son Rocco’s birthday with an extravagant cake. He turned 24 just days before his mother’s birthday.

In a separate post, Madonna showered her son with love, writing on Instagram: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROCCO – the long and winding road through all your many moods and incarnations has been turbulent and full of surprises,” she began. “But through it all, your curiosity and artistic soul have been the glue that has held us together. Thank God for art. Thank God for you. We have been together for many lifetimes. Thank you for choosing me again. I love you – for eternity.”
