WWE legend Goldberg chimes in on Warren Sapp’s birthday greetings to his close friend Deion Sanders

It looks like Deion Sanders hit the birthday jackpot – twice! Although Coach Prime kept a low profile on his 57th birthday, fate had other plans for him. First, he received the best gift from his daughter Deiondra Sanders, who was blessed with a baby boy on August 9. While Deion was showered with well-wishes on his special day, the wish from CU graduate assistant Warren Sapp stood out.

You wonder why? After all, WWE legend Bill Goldberg showered Sapp’s post with well wishes for his close buddy Deion. Did the same Goldberg save the HC, now playing for the Buffs, from a near knockout?

While Deion may not want to make such a big deal out of his birthday, his fans may not follow him. Instead, they have gone out of their way to make the Buffs HC feel special. Among them is Sapp, who shared a picture of himself chilling with Coach Prime at the breakfast table, both giving a thumbs up. The caption read: “It’s my Dawg’s birthday @deionsanders #SappNotFishing #SkoBuffs.”

Deion is definitely a top dog for Sapp. But there is another bigshot out there ready to roll out the red carpet for the Buffs HC. That is none other than Coach Prime’s former teammate and now WWE legend Goldberg. The wrestling legend wrote in the comments section of Sapp’s post. However, he didn’t write any words; instead, he just posted “clapping hands emojis.” Somewhere deep down, Goldberg knows that 30 years of friendship is not words, just emojis to wish his buddy well. It was the same friend who saved Deion during a fight on the football field.

How WWE legend Deion Sanders supported

Before entering The World of WrestlingGoldberg had a short time in the NFL. The star of the Sacramento Gold Miners was selected in the 11th round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. There was a time when Deion got into a heated argument that turned physical. Goldberg was just a phone call away, as he once said: “I saved him after he got hot off the field. I was the weight coach and Deion treated me like anyone else. By the way, we had wrestling matches in the corner and whenever they picked him, he let me wrestle for him.”

Chuck Smith, another Falcon who was around during the same time period as Deion and Goldberg, confirmed that the current WWE legend was a kind of protective shield for his friend: “Goldberg was Deion’s ace in the hole.” Goldberg’s child, Gage Goldbergis now a Buffs player, proving that the friendship between Sanders and Goldberg is still strong.
