BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky – A Bowling Green woman faces multiple charges related to driving under the influence.

According to a uniform complaint, Kentucky State Police Post 3 received a call around 3 p.m. Monday regarding a person drinking a beer while driving.

Police said the driver, 35-year-old Cherry Shwe of Bowling Green, was “swerving all over the road” and nearly caused several accidents.

When the police officer turned on his lights and siren behind Shwe on Plano Road, Shwe drove away, authorities said.

The report states that she almost collided with several vehicles.

Shwe stopped on a stretch of Plano Road and was removed from the vehicle. Police said they found the driver and the vehicle to be under the influence of alcohol.

According to their own statements, the police found two cans of Bud Ice beer in the vehicle, one of which still contained fresh beer.

According to the report, a teenager was also sitting in the back seat without a seatbelt.

Shwe was taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for a medical evaluation because her breathalyzer test showed a reading of .306, authorities said.

Shwe was arrested and charged with first degree fleeing from police, first degree reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a minor, driving under the influence (first offense), and failure to wear a seat belt.

She was taken to the Warren County Detention Center and has since been released.
